### Math 115 - Calculus with Applications

Fall 2002

#### Detailed Text Book Information

The **required** text for this course is *College Algebra, 6th edition* by Michael Sullivan. The book is published by Prentice-Hall:

The text has a variety of companion resources. I don't know if the bookstore carries any of these or not, but they are
certainly available without too much effort:

- Student's Solutions Manual, 6th Edition by Mark McCombs (Recommended), ISBN 0-13-092452-0. I recommend this item for students who find it helpful to
see more examples worked out. Solutions to all of the odd numbered problems are presented in reasonable detail. Some of the homework
will be assigned from the odd numbered problems in the text, and the even numbered problems (which may be graded for correctness) usually have one or more odd-numbered problems
that are very similar. If the bookstore does not have the Solutions Manual in stock, you can get it from Barnes and Noble Barnes and Noble or from Prentice-Hall.
- Algebra Review, 5/E
by Michael Sullivan ISBN: 0135906210. I haven't seen this resource, so I cannot recommend it, but some students will need extra review resources. This item can be ordered from Prentice-Hall.
